CNX Foundation from CNX Natural Gas will present checks to the following West Virginia Volunteer Fire Departments:

  • Blacksville VFD
  • Wadestown VFD
  • Hundred VFD

The ceremony will be held at Wadestown Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday, October 27 at noon. A luncheon will be provided and follow the ceremony.

These funds will help these volunteer fire departments provide assistance to the local communities in Western Monongalia County and Eastern Wetzel County.

Neighbors who serve as fire, police, and emergency personnel are often unsung community heroes who protect us and serve us. Beyond their professional/volunteer roles, these citizens, and their families, give of themselves to make Monongalia & Wetzel counties a safe and welcoming environment to live, work and play.

In announcing the awards, Delegate Joe Statler noted why this matters, “I am pleased to have helped form and chair the WV House Fire Departments & Emergency Medical Services Committee. I know that safe communities are key to attracting and retaining a high quality workforce and continue to focus on issues that help advance safety and reduce unfunded liabilities.”

CNX Foundation’s team from Pittsburgh will share information about the company’s future plans in the area, future natural gas well sites, and providing a timeline of their plans.
